The Westville Fire Department is committed to
generating a fire-safe community through prevention and
education.
The Bureau of Fire Prevention and Investigative Services is
responsible for preventing fires through code enforcement,
public education, and the investigation of fire causes.
Under the
direction of the Bureau Chief/Fire Marshal, the Bureau provides
consultation on fire protection to owners and developers, maintains
records on existing commercial occupancies for built in fire
protection equipment, and prevention history. The Bureau also
investigates, to a point of conclusion, all fires of an incendiary
nature, securing evidence, and preparing necessary reports for the
District Attorney for prosecution of cases involving arson.
